May be out of date. For years I would remove the memory card. I used to have it running on an Windows XP previously and it worked fine on there.

This link suggests windows 8 though, mines is windows 7 i think it just suggests updates for the software itself, it suggests that you can turn it off, but it literally phohofunstudio on for a second or two and then the error message appears saying that PhotofunStudio has stopped working with a status bar looking for a solution.
